The Experience of Tellenger and its Management Team
- Developed a Report to Congress for a government agency about the ways data warehouses, Web 2.0, early warning capabilities, and case management technologies can improve internal operational processes and the delivery of services.
- Coded a case management system for the U.S. Marine Corps in J2EE.
- Full life-cycle software development (i.e., requirements gathering, information architecture, coding, testing, and documentation) of a Java-based web application that manages Marine Corps Reserve drills and drill accounting (scheduling, allocations, attendance, ad hoc reporting, pay and retirement point transactions, etc.).
- Conducted a strategic analysis of the opportunities, challenges, and facts to consider for doing a product off-shoot of a Web 2.0 technology that makes the Internet a manageable and productive resource for classroom learning.
- Developed an ecommerce solution for the official online gift shop of the National World War II Memorial and implemented an online marketing campaign to increase revenue almost 10%.
- Crafted requirements documents for modules within the Marine Corps Training Information Management System (MCTIMS). Working at the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, VA, Tellenger worked with the MCTIMS team to develop a software design document for the system as well as create vision documents for the Marine Corps software applications, including curriculum management, registrar, and student evaluation.
- Created marketing documents, white papers, and proposals for various firms using technologies (SAAS, Web 2.0, Social Networking, etc.) to achieve organizational objectives.
- Provided a framework for resolving management issues within a manufacturing company.
- Created a storyboard version of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s patent application processing software to easily enable stakeholders to experience the software.
- Conducted user testing and evaluation of the Department of Health and Human Services Public Health Service Commissioned Corps electronic Call to Active Duty (eCAD) online job application software.
- Supported the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Block Grant Maintenance of Effort (MOE) Reengineering Workgroup by analyzing and evaluating MOE processes, identifying and resolving operational problems, determining policies with respect to precedents, creating tracking documents for SAMHSA leadership, planning methods that clarify the MOE regulatory and operational processes, as well as drafting and editing decision memorandum.
- Analyzed and evaluated Federal agency methods for measuring outcomes as required by the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA). The document was organized to provide the reader with rapid insights into the basic structure of performance measures used by various Federal agencies in accordance with GPRA. This process involved understanding how other Federal agencies applied outcome measures as part of their performance plans. The research conducted was used to inform the updating of SAMHSA's performance plan for public health related activities in the areas of substance abuse and mental health services.
- Restructured select chapters and rewrote sections to improve clarity and argument progression within the Report to Congress on the Prevention and Treatment of Co-Occurring Substance Abuse Disorders and Mental Disorders. The primary goal working on the Report was to make the language clear and informative for both the treatment expert as well as the treatment recipient. Also, responsible for managing the revisions submitted by workgroup members.
- Managed the integration of interagency comments submitted during the review of the First Annual Report to Congress: A Comprehensive Plan for Preventing and Reducing Underage Drinking.
- Developed a strategic plan for the founder of the Executive Program of United Nations' and Arab non-governmental organization (NGOs) to launch a web-based NGO Communication and Action Center that facilitates increased information exchange among international NGOs focused on sustainable development in rural regions.
- Created a project plan for integrating technology into school systems within developing countries
